Notts Independent Shopping Trail Launched

The Nottingham Independent Shopping Trail has officially launched! This app and map tell you where all the independent hot spots are in the city centre, while also giving you a little info on the businesses in each of the areas that you visit, accompanied with pictures to give you that visual feel. Before the app was launched our Marketing Assistant Lauren had the privilege of testing out the app and map before it was released. Here’s what she had to say about her experience using the app and map:

“I was really excited that I got the chance to test run the app and map. Because I’m from Nottingham I knew what place was where and how to find them, so I’d know what to expect to find in each of the areas. They provide you with all the information and more so for visitors that are visiting for the first time, they would really show them around and they’d find their way easily. It was great being able to be a part of it.”

We attended the launch day and it was thriving, being a part of the project was great. This amazing app and map was funded by Nottingham City Council in partnership with Nottingham BID (under the brand “It’s In Nottingham“), Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and the Creative Quarter! The designers behind this eye pleasing app and map were Makermet. The launch had a great turn out with many attending like Notts TV, Gem 106 and Nottingham Post! A lot a wonderful people and independent businesses such as Ideas on Paper and Stick & Ribbon came to show their support and got involved with taking photos and trying the app and map out for themselves.
