11th March 2019
19:00 - 21:00 GMT
Learn a range of different drawing techniques in a friendly and supportive environment. In each session we will explore a different approach to drawing.
This week’s workshop is led by artist Harry Martin. Working with different materials – charcoal, pastel, ink and pencil – and different types of paper, you will learn how to use a range of techniques to draw still life objects. The workshop theme is ‘don’t be precious’, so we will explore several techniques that allow us to relinquish control: drawing with the non-dominant hand, drawing blindfolded, drawing with charcoal on the end of a bamboo stick. After finishing our drawings we will cut, tear and collage our work to create new images.
Materials provided but feel free to bring your own sketch book, pens and pencils.
